Virginia + Guy’s colorful fall Albany, Ga wedding at Double Gate Country Club was a stunning, joy-filled day spent surrounded by family and friends.

The day began at Virginia’s family home, watching football and preparing for the ceremony with her bridesmaids. Virginia slipped into her custom gown by BW Designs, tailored to compliment the antique lace veil passed down for generations from Guy’s great-grandmother.

We took our time enjoying the cool October weather while photographing Virginia with her bridesmaids, all dressed in pink, floor-length dresses of their choosing– followed shortly by Guy and his timelessly- clad groomsmen. At last, it was time to head to the ceremony at Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.

Lifelong family friend, Dr. Ben Haygood, officiated the touching ceremony. Guests beamed at Virginia as her father escorted her down the aisle. After exchanging their vows, Virginia + Guy headed to their reception at the Double Gate Country Club. Then, the real party began!

Guests were welcomed to the tented reception with signature cocktails and beautiful floral displays by Mary Pinson. Virginia + Guy mingled with guests, before taking to the white vinyl dance floor with a floral chandelier above, for their first dance while City Heat from Atlanta performed, “It Just Comes Natural” by George Strait.

Their guests danced the night away, sporting golf themed party hats and enjoying late night Hibachi, before the couple exited through a tunnel of sparklers. Driving away in a beautiful antique Studebaker for their honeymoon!
