In my humble opinion, there’s just nothing like a summer wedding in the mountains of Highlands, North Carolina. When the Georgia heat gets to be too much, there’s no better feeling than to trade the humidity for the cool mountain air and celebrate the marriage of two amazing people.
Allie + Sam’s paths first crossed at a small preschool in Atlanta, Ga as toddlers. Though they don’t quite remember those days, one could argue that that was the start of it all. Flash forward a decade, and they both found themselves attending the same small school in Columbus, where they began dating– Allie as a junior, and Sam as a senior. Though they parted ways for college with many hundreds of miles between them, they found their way back to each other at Georgia Law School, where they reconnected.
That moment led us here — the beautiful Farm at Old Edwards Inn — celebrating Allie + Sam.
Allie and her bridesmaids got ready in the farmhouse with the help of Brushed by Lindsey and Hair by Madison. Allie then slipped into her truly stunning Sareh Nouri gown and all of us gasped. It was truly perfect for her.
Her bridesmaids wore coordinating, floor-length powder blue gowns and carried bouquets of roses, queen anne’s lace, blue stock, and white ranunculus – arranged beautifully by the unmatched Floressence Flowers.
Allie + Sam then shared a sweet first look before more portraits and a quick pizza break before the ceremony. (Is there anything better!?)
After exchanging vows under a floral arch of green and white, the couple joined their guests for cocktail hour before walking into their reception – a jaw-dropping floral oasis.
I loved watching the two of them dance all night with their guests! There was no shortage of fun (or impressive dance moves!) At the end of the night, they ran through a tunnel of sparklers and away on a golf cart to enjoy their honeymoon. It was a truly beautiful day!
