Laura + William’s Duke Chapel and Washington Duke Inn Wedding was a truly beautiful event in Durham, North Carolina. Planned by Emma of Harmony Weddings & Events and photographed by Eliza Morrill.

Laura + William’s Duke Chapel and Washington Duke Inn Wedding was truly one for the books.

The weekend began with a rehearsal dinner and welcome party at The Rickhouse and it was the words said this night that set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Family and friends spoke of Laura + William’s many virtues — integrity, steadfastness, kindness, compassion, thoughtfulness. They shared that not only they hold these attributes as individuals, but also, as a couple. Each heartfelt toast was a testament to just how special they are, and how their marriage will surely be a light to all those around them.

I’ve known Laura since childhood, and can echo each of those sentiments. Laura is the real deal, and I’m certain that William is her perfect match.

This love and kindness carried on throughout the weekend. From Laura’s dad beaming with pride as he saw his daughter for the first time, to William’s giddy excitement before their first look…from the meaningful glances shared between Laura, her dad, and stepdad before they walked down the aisle, to the hours of (amazing) dancing that followed the ceremony– it was a weekend full of love and joy.

The Duke Chapel was a magical backdrop for their vows. It was hard not to feel like we were in Europe! Both Laura’s dad and stepdad walked her down the aisle and kissed her on the cheek before taking their seats. After the ceremony, guests tossed rose petals as Laura + William exited the church, and we photographed some of my all-time favorite photos outside of Duke Chapel. 
Guests then made their way to the Washington Duke Inn, where a ballroom and tent full of stunning floral arrangements greeted them.
The bride and groom took to the dance floor to share dances with each other and their parents before enjoying a seated dinner. The band, Big Swing and the Ballroom Blasters, then took the stage and kept the party going for hours. It was so fun!
