How do I even begin to describe this day and these people!? From the moment I saw Caroline + Jack together, I knew they were meant to be.

The kindness that Caroline + Jack show not only to each other, but to those around them, is one of the many qualities that makes them so special. They lead by example, show others grace and warmth, and love each other so well that it’s hard not to smile whenever they’re around!

Their wedding weekend was the perfect reflection of them both. The sentimental, historic details illustrated Jack’s love of history and heritage, while the soft, elegant features highlighted Caroline’s classic style. (For what it’s worth, both of them are quite the history buffs!)

Perfectly planned by Patti of P. Hasting Design, with Mr. Albright’s delivery of his always-breathtaking floral design, this day was a favorite!

Caroline + her bridesmaids got ready at the Illges House before slipping into their gowns — Caroline’s, by Le Spose Digio (via Mandi Jackson Bridal), and her bridesmaids in floor-length, pale pink gowns by Dessy Group (via Bella Bridesmaid.)

Caroline + Jack shared a private first look before being joined by their friends and wedding party, who were all just as excited as they were to finally tie the knot. Little Huck, Jack’s nephew, toddled around the Illges House after his beloved grandfather.

After photos, we made our way to St. Paul UMC for the wedding ceremony. Generations of Schleys have attended St. Paul, and it was so special to see Caroline + Jack add their names to that list. They joyfully exchanged vows and made their way back down the aisle as their guests clapped.

Their reception at The Big Eddy Club was such fun — and so beautiful! From smilax cascading down from the iron chandeliers, to a tulip-laden cake and beautiful arrangements in silver cache pots, it was truly stunning.

The tears really started flowing when the first dances began – seeing the way Caroline’s dad looked at her was just so, so sweet. And when Jack’s mom hit the dance floor with him – I don’t ever think I’ve seen a mother of the groom with more pride and love in her eyes!

We then snuck outside for some sunset portraits — some of my very favorite photographs of the day. The rest of the night was filled with food, drinks, and merriment – including some crowd surfing by the happy couple!

At the end of the night, Caroline + Jack said their goodbyes after running through a shower of lavendar.

Caroline + Jack, what an honor and a joy it was to photograph your big day! Truly, I just adore you both. Cheers to a lifetime of bliss!
