Landy + Andrew’s Ponte Vedra Inn & Club wedding was so special in so many ways. For one, I’ve known Andrew since I was four. I can honestly, positively say that I have never seen him more happy — his love for Landy is so apparent and sweet — I don’t think I saw him without a smile on his face the entire weekend.

Also special was that I photograph Landy’s sister, Elizabeth’s, wedding. Getting to know Landy better over the last few months has been such a joy. She is kind, thoughtful, down-to-earth, and fiercely loves her friends and family. She’s my kind of people.

Though Landy + Andrew planned for a beach wedding, the weather was less than cooperative. You’d never know it from our portrait photos, but a heavy storm was rolling in as we raced both the clock and the clouds to get as much good weather out of the day as we could. Just as Landy walked down the aisle, the bottom fell out. Luckily, their amazing team, led by the one-and-only Patti of P. Hasting Design, changed course the day before, and arranged for a beautiful, intimate ceremony inside the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

Their officiant, Jimmy Elder, opened the ceremony by reminding guests that rain on one’s wedding day is good luck. He further explained that, a knot that is tied and then wet is far harder to untie than one that is dry.

After Landy + Andrew exchanged their vows, guests proceeded to the ballroom that was beautifully decorated with cascading floral centerpieces, driftwood candles, and, for the perfect “Landy” touch– disco balls.

The moves I saw on the dance floor were truly exceptional – I would have expected nothing less from this crowd! After several hours of dancing and merriment, Landy + Andrew departed on a golf cart before honeymooning in Bora Bora.

L+A, it was an honor and a joy to be a part of your big day. I adore you both and wish you nothing but happiness!
