Intimate, Garden-Inspired At Home Wedding in Augusta // Jackie + Chip

Intimate, Garden-Inspired At Home Wedding in Augusta

They had a knack for running into each other at concerts. Though they hit it off, their busy lives, budding careers, and geography kept them apart. That is– until they bumped into each other, yet again, at another concert in Atlanta. This time, they were living in the same city, and Chip asked Jackie out again. This time, she said yes.

Fast forward a few years, and Jackie + Chip were planning their wedding. Jackie chose her parents’ home for their venue. Nestled in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood in Augusta, Georgia, echoes of Father of the Bride played in my mind as we drove up. The Greg Boulus Events team did an incredible job of orchestrating every little detail.

As we walked in, we were greeted by siblings and close family friends- each person as friendly as the next. They made our team feel like family!

Jackie and her bridesmaids– her sister and cousin– got ready at home, and Jackie’s mom buttoned her into her dress in a light-filled hallway that featured family photos and heirloom pieces.

Jackie wore a Sareh Nouri gown, while her bridesmaids wore long, flowy dresses of their choice.

Honeysuckle and jasmine filled the air as Jackie + Chip exchanged vows in the backyard, surrounded by close friends and family. Their “little attendants” walked in before the bride- some toddling, others riding in a white wagon adorned with flowers. After the ceremony, guests sipped Veuve Clicquot, enjoying the many garden-inspired vignettes throughout the yard.

After the string quartet finished, guests made their way to a beautiful sailcloth tent that anchored the front yard. Jackie’s dad gave a beautiful toast before sitting down to enjoy a seated dinner.

Once finished, Jackie + Chip cut the tiered cake that sat on the dining room table. They then made their way to the backyard that had been flipped into a reception area. They shared a first dance before Jackie slipped away to put on a white jumpsuit so that she could break it down on the dance floor with her friends. The dance moves at this wedding were (unsurprisingly) amazing… from break dancing to toe-touches, these guests had it all!

At the end of the night, they ran down the front walkway under a shower of white rose petals and drove off in Jackie’s uncle’s vintage El Dorado.
