Sea Island Wedding at the Cloister // Sherry + Nicholas

Where do I begin? Sherry has been like a sister to me since the third grade, since her little sister, Christen, and I bonded over being the world’s biggest tomboys and became instant best friends. Since then, I spent countless weekends and vacations with the Bartley family, with Sherry (I’m sure) always rolling her eyes at our crazy antics. But still, Sherry has always been one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever known, inside and out. Insanely smart, incredibly kind and genuine, and a real-life Barbie doll – Sherry is the perfect package.

To say that Nicholas is her perfect match would be an understatement. I have to say, when I first heard about his entrance to the scene, I was skeptical. How could anyone ever be good enough for sweet Sherry? I was wrong, though. A former JAG officer and Ivy League graduate, Nicholas exudes charm and is a perfect gentleman – the only man in the world, in my opinion, good enough for her. For all of these reasons, photographing their Sea Island Wedding at the Cloister was such an honor and a dream come true.

If you know Sherry, you know that she always has a smile on her face – even despite all that has crossed her path. That same smile was present every second of her wedding day – just as it should have been. The setting, Sea Island, could not have been more fitting – the Cloister is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the South – and it holds so many memories for Sherry and her family.

As you’ll see below, every detail was perfect and elegant – I can’t imagine anything different for these two! Sherry + Nicholas, thank you so much for allowing me the honor to photograph your big day. Cheers to a lifetime of bliss – because you desreve it!
