Emily + Ross: Engaged! // Athens, Georgia Engagement Photographer

Meet Emily + Ross. Young, in love, engaged, SUPER gorgeous (inside and out) and oh-so-fun. We originally had scheduled their Athens engagement session a few weeks earlier, but when it rained cats and dogs that morning, we decided to reschedule. I’m so, so glad that we did!

Emily and Ross met at Georgia (Ross is also in Law School there as well), so it was only fitting to have their engagement session in on UGA’s North Campus– which, by the time we rescheduled, was in full bloom. It was also nearly empty and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Perfection.

Emily and I are from the same town and have a lot of mutual friends, so it’s hard to believe we hadn’t met before she contacted me about shooting their wedding next year (also in Athens– I am SO excited). I immediately loved both Emily and Ross the moment I met them because they are very down-to-earth and up for anything (as in, “let’s go into this thorn-filled meadow, I have an idea!” and they were totally cool with it). They’re also so considerate of each other and their love for one another is so obvious. It’s easy to see why they’ve chosen each other for life, and I couldn’t be happier for them!

Emily’s ring is is one of the most unique, intricate, and all-around gorgeous things I’ve ever seen! It’s a family heirloom of Ross’, and I just about squealed when I saw it. Also… can we talk about how perfect Emily’s nails are!?

Also… did I mention I got to meet Emily’s awesome parents that day? They are TOO COOL. Seriously.

Emily + Ross, thank you so much for spending your Sunday morning with me. I can’t wait for your wedding next year!
