I couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off our 2023 wedding season than with Sasa + John’s Outdoor Spring Wedding at the Big Eddy Club in Columbus, Ga

From the moment that Sasa popped champagne with her bridesmaids, to the lively Second Line (an ode to their home in New Orleans) that led them to their getaway car, their wedding day was a whirlwind of joy and laughter with an incredible group of fun-loving people. 

Their day began at The Illges House in Columbus, GA, which offered a stunning backdrop for not only a touching first look (I love catching a groom’s tear!) but also a fun group of wedding party and family portraits.

The ceremony took place outside at The Big Eddy Club, surrounded by exquisite florals crafted by David Benefield of Highland Hall. 

Overlooking a tranquil Lake Oliver, and under a floral arch, Sasa + John exchanged their vows in a setting that radiated serenity and natural beauty. 

Before venturing inside to attend the reception, we snuck away to capture some truly breathtaking sunset photos down by the water– some of my very favorites from the day.

After dancing all night to live music from Shimmer, the two snaked through the reception space behind a second line, carrying umbrellas used at several friends’ weddings– an homage to their hometown of NOLA. They then ran through a tunnel of metallic pom poms before leaving for their honeymoon.
