Kate + Kellen’s Bibb Mill Wedding – where do I begin!?

I’ve known Kate for what feels like forever. We grew up going to the same school, and Kate had quite the reputation– of being kind. So incredibly kind. Kind, reliable, caring, and just plain wonderful. You can imagine, then, my first thought when I heard about Kellen– “wow, he must be something else to be a match for Kate!” And boy, was that the truth.

Kate + Kellen met through mutual friends while working for YoungLife. They were both told to “keep an eye out” for each other, and though some missed connections and a pandemic stood in front of them, love won out.

When I first met Kellen, I was immediately struck by his kindness. These two are cut from the same cloth. He is kind, steady, and goodness gracious, does he love Kate.

On their wedding day, Kate and her bridesmaids got ready at her family home, overlooking the lake. Rather than heels, Kate opted for golden Chacos (I love!!). Her sweet mom helped her get into her gown, and her bridesmaids looked on as she put on the finishing touches.

Kate chose some truly stunning fall florals, and her bouquet was one of my favorites! Denham’s Florist created some show-stopping bouquets and I loved getting to photograph them.

Kate + Kellen shared a first look under the moss at the Bibb Mill, and y’all– all the feels. These two couldn’t wait to see each other, and their love and appreciation for each other was so apparent. Posing them was truly effortless– they made my job so easy!

Kate’s mom and dad walked her down the aisle, and their wedding party prayed over them before they sealed it with a kiss. It was beautiful!

Afterwards, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails in the Bibb Mill gardens, followed by some epic dance moves and a tower of Veri Best Donuts.

Kate + Kellen, you are gold. You are gold apart, but you are GOLD together. It was such a joy to be a part of your wedding day. Here’s to a lifetime of bliss!
