Kayla + Wesley’s wedding at Kiesel Park in Auburn, Alabama was truly spectacular. Every detail was carefully planned, and personal touches + family heirlooms were abundant at this spring garden wedding. It. Was. Amazing.

There were so many things I loved about this day—the mismatched but complimentary bridesmaid dresses, the truly INCREDIBLE floral arrangements by Thistle + Thorne (did I mention the tatting on Kayla’s bouquet was made by her great-great grandmother!?), the swing that Wesley made for the reception, and the pair of wedding boots and hope chest that were Kayla’s great-great grandmother’s… OHMYGOODNESS. So wonderful. Oh, and their bridal party! So, so awesome.

Maybe my very favorite part of the day, though, was watching Kayla + Wesley exchange their vows. They were so heartfelt and unique, and the way that they made each other smile (and, at times, laugh out loud) during the ceremony is truly a testament to their love and the marriage before them. These two are ready!

The reception meandered throughout the park, including an arrangement of farm tables adorned with flower-filled lanterns and vases, while Kayla + Wesley ate from family china at a small sweetheart table. Guests also lounged on vintage furniture and danced under a gorgeous floral chandelier suspended above the pavilion.

And how could I forget the Texas-shaped sugar cookies with a heart over Dallas—Kayla + Wesley’s new home!?

Before making their way to the getaway car, Kayla + Wesley ran through a line of family  + friends throwing lavender from small pewter cups. As you’ll see, it was definitely one for the books.
