Oh, Wren. For those of you that know her, you know that words can’t begin to describe what a fantastic little firecracker this girl is. Never have I met a more opinionated, tell-it-like-it-is, laugh-out-loud funny, or witty child. She is wise beyond her years and has the strength of people ten times her age… truly. And her sense of style? Amazing. She is a princess and a superhero, wrapped up in one, and I can’t get enough of her!

Every birthday of hers is a time to celebrate for so many reasons, and I was so excited to help document her last day as a three-year-old in these gorgeous peach orchards and pecan groves. Wren’s parents were the ultimate champions, helping fight off the RIDICULOUS amount of gnats (note to self: don’t leave home without bug spray and a portable fan ever again) by waving my reflector, creating short gusts of wind to keep the bugs at bay. In true Wren form, she’d shout, “DO THE WIND!” any time the breeze stopped, causing constant giggling on my part.

On that note, I can’t begin to express the awe I am in by Wren’s parents– they have such a fierce and blatant love for their two girls– one that really stops you in your tracks– that I can only hope that my husband and I can mirror them one day with our own children (no, mom— that’s a looong way down the road). I know this has been a pretty sentimental post, but I just love Wren so very much. I also loooove these photos and hope you do, too!
