Payton and Aubrey’s Illges House wedding, photographed by our Associate Team led by Jenn, was absolutely beautiful. Payton and her bridesmaids got ready upstairs at the Illges House (one of my very favorite spots — there is so much character and natural light!) in matching white robes. Her sweet mom helped her into her dress, and her sister put her in veil (worn by women for 4 generations!) as her mom looked on. Her bridesmaids’ reaction when they first saw her was priceless, but not nearly as emotional as when Aubrey saw his bride for the first time. Oh my goodness– those photos make my heart swell! Is there anything better than an emotional groom!?
Payton + Aubrey first met 12 years ago. They dated throughout high school, but went their separate ways for college. Years later, after college graduation, they reconnected over coffee, and look at them now!
After a ceremony at St. Luke UMC, guests returned to the Illges House for a beautiful indoor-outdoor reception. The first dance that Payton shared with her dad was a tear-jerker for sure, and while Aubrey danced with his mom, his dad cut a rug alongside them on the dance floor.
Payton + Aubrey spent the night dancing with friends + family before leaving through thrown lavender– it was perfect! Payton + Aubrey, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your big day. Cheers to a lifetime of bliss!
