Laura + Tyler’s Duke Mansion engagement session in Charlotte, North Carolina was perfect, even though we were fighting with the weather. When I first spoke with Laura + Tyler about photographing their wedding, I knew right away that we were the perfect fit. Everything they told me about themselves, their relationship, and their wedding plans made me so excited – and I was even more thrilled when the stars aligned for me to photograph their engagement session in Charlotte, NC (even though they’re getting married in Georgia!) The gardens at the Duke Mansion were the perfect setting.

It poured the day before and drizzled the morning-of, but that didn’t faze them at all – my kind of people! Another thing that makes me feel like Laura and I are soul sisters? SHE WORE AN ORANGE, CRUSHED VELVET JUMPSUIT. If you know me, you know that I LOVE jumpsuits. I may or may not wish they made that particular one in maternity sizes…
