When I realized that the stars would align and that I’d be able to photograph Katherine + Alex’s engagement session in New York City, there was an internal scream of glee. New York is one of my favorite places, and it’s also where Katherine + Alex have called home for the past few years. Though they met at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs + Rattle Rattle!), their careers moved them north not long after graduation, and they’ve been there (and together) ever since.
Despite the cold and rain, these two managed to look like models as we meandered around Hudson River Greenway, their home of West Village, and Washington Square Park– where Alex proposed. Another fun fact: Alex had two meaningful arches engraved on either side of Katherine’s band: the UGA Arch and the Washington Square Park arch. How creative (and thoughtful) is that?!
Really and truly, these two were MADE for each other, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall. Alex + Katherine, thank you for spending the day with me– hope you love these as much as I do!
