When Julie first contacted me about photographing her wedding, I was giddy. Intimate, simple, and outside her parents’ home in Columbus. A farm-to-table dinner celebration with friends + family, with stringed lights overhead. Beyond these details, though, was the fact that Julie is one of the most wonderful, down-to-earth individuals I’ve ever met. She’s kind, genuine, and also a total badass– did I mention she’s hiked almost the entire Appalachian Trail, is a yoga teacher, has excellent taste in music– the list goes on. Not surprisingly, it turns out that Michael is just as wonderful and awesome and down-to-earth. They both moved to New Orleans several years ago on a whim and it didn’t take long before the two met each other. They spent about a year together as just friends– attached at the hip while riding their bikes all around NOLA– until one day, they were more than that. Together, they are perfect. Genuine, adventurous, goofy, and FUN, and their day couldn’t have been a better representation of the both of them.
A few highlights that I loved:
Julie + Michael, thank you for inviting me to such a truly wonderful day. Cheers to a lifetime of bliss!
