I couldn’t tell you the first time I met Ashley if I tried, because I feel like I’ve known her forever. We went to the same school growing up (though she was a few years behind me) and played soccer together, and she is one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. I honestly can’t remember a time when she and Martin weren’t together, because it feels like they’ve been a pair for as long as I’ve known them. So of course, when she told me that they were engaged, there was no surprise there– they were already married in my mind!

Ashley + Martin are so great and I know they’ll have a wonderful, successful marriage because they’re best friends. Their love is so comfortable and so confident and I think that we should all aim for a love like theirs. It was also no surprise that their wedding day was gorgeous— stringed lights across RiverMill, floor length black bridesmaid dresses, out-of-this-world flowers, her sweet brothers who walked her down the aisle, her bouquet wrapped with her late father’s tie, a surprise YETI cooler groom’s cake for Martin, her mom’s face as she shared a first dance with her brothers, and hands down the most impressive dance moves I’ve ever seen from a bridal party were just some of the highlights of the day.

Ashley + Martin, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding. Y’all are just the best. Cheers to a lifetime of bliss!
